The
difference between ConVault aboveground storage tanks and steel jacketed tanks is simple.
Six inches of reinforced concrete protecting BOTH
the primary and secondary containment.
The benefits of this include added
protection for your
facility against catastrophic events including fire, ballistics, vehicle
impact and vandalism. In addition the concrete exterior will not
rust or corrode.
1. Ballistic & Impact Protection
ConVault :
Provides added safety and true ballistic/ impact protection
for BOTH the primary and secondary containment.
The Competition:
The secondary containment on steel jacketed tanks is not
protected. A vehicle or ballistic impact can easily
penetrate the competition’s secondary containment.
2. Lower Maintenance and Ownership Costs
ConVault:
Low
maintenance / corrosion proof exterior. ConVault tanks are covered
with a low maintenance concrete exterior in exposed aggregate,
painted epoxy and StoTM finishes that will not rust or corrode.
The Competition
The competition’s steel finish requires constant maintenance
(sandblasting / repainting) to protect against corrosion.
Six inches
of monolithic, reinforced concrete ensures maximum protection. The
tank cannot be moved or knocked over from a vehicle impact or natural
disaster
The Competition:
The competition uses a weaker "lightweight concrete" or
"lightweight thermal insulation."
