The
Las Vegas Valley Water Department (LVVWD) provides water to more than
one million people in Southern Nevada. To accommodate recent growth the
Department required additional dispensing systems for both Gasoline and
Diesel. The scope of work required excavation, electrical and concrete
site work and with winter rapidly approaching it was critical that these
systems be installed and functioning before the first frost.
Core
supplied a split ConVault AST which allowed the LVVWD to pump both
gasoline and diesel fuel from the same system. Additional equipment
included a bearing pad kit, seismic restraints, shutoff valves, OMNTEC
tank gauging system, new Dresser-Wayne AST dispensing packages and
remote fill packages. Site work included; excavation and installation of
stone sub-base; installation of a concrete pad; installation of pipe
bollards; and the installation of fuel tank piping. To save the Las
Vegas Valley Water Department money, Core was able to use existing
electrical conduit at the site. To address weather concerns, Core was
able to fast track the project and complete procurement, manufacturing,
site work and startup within 12 weeks.
The LVVWD was able to reference Core’s
GSA contract (GS07F-9110G) which allowed them to bypass the lengthy and
often expensive government bidding process. Many state and local
governments are able to reference GSA contracts (check with your local
purchasing department). To discuss your fueling applications with a Core
