Core Lends Power to Eastern Massachusetts

Hill Water Treatment plant treats over 270 million gallons of water
each day providing water for 41 communities in Eastern
Massachusetts. Ensuring the uninterrupted service of this plant is
one the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority’s (MWRA) highest
priorities. To accomplish this MWRA called on Core Engineered
Solutions to provide a state-of-the-art emergency power system.
Core
Engineered Solutions provided an integrated system which included
(4) 10,000 gallon above ground fuel tanks, pumps, controls,
monitoring systems, tank manifold controls and tank level controls.
All systems were built with the best possible equipment including
ConVault UL:2085 rated fuel tanks to assure uninterrupted service.
ConVault’s seamless six-inch concrete vault design offers maximum
protection against natural disasters and vehicle or projectile
impact by providing protection for the both primary and secondary
containment. Core’s scope of services included design, production,
start-up and training.
