Core Provides Design Build Fueling Solution for the U.S. Navy

The U.S. Navy recently began production of a prototype vessel called the X-Craft. This high-speed aluminum catamaran will reach speeds of 50 knots and will have a deck with two helicopter landing spots capable of handling a variety of aircraft. Core Engineered Solutions was selected to provide a design-build aviation refueling solution for the X-Craft.

Core provided a customized solution that included a pump and filtration system feeding a remote dispensing module located on the deck of the vessel. The pump and filtration module (PFT) is capable of offloading, dispensing and filtration. For the X-Craft the module was fitted with dual filtration units each capable of recirculating product at 200 USGPM. The remote dispensing module (RDS) was designed to pump JP5 at up to 50 USGPM.

Core’s Aviation Fueling Systems (AFS) are designed to meet over 90% of all FBO refueling requirements. Core can also provide custom aviation skids.
